|
| Version | Features/Changes |
|---|---|
| 3.2.6 | New, faster animated deal for each game. Having the deal animated provides visual feedback for how the game is layed out. |
| 3.2.5 | Added a menu item to turn the card animation on or off. |
| 3.2.4 | Minor bugs fixed in Pyramid and Golf. New menu structure for choosing a variation of a game. |
| 3.2.3 | Fixed a couple of bugs in the game of Gaps having to do with the number of redeals allowed and moving a card into a blank space to the right of itself. New menu items and menu layout. Added a built-in delay when flipping cards over and moving cards around the layout to give a more natural feel for the pace of play. |
| 3.2.2 | Now you can use any Windows BMP file (files with a .bmp extension) as a background image. From the tabletop background dialog you can select any BMP file on your computer to use as the background (you can use MS Paint to convert your favorite image files into BMP format) or download the image file shown above to use as a background. |

| 3.1.2 | Fixes a minor cosmetic bug in Windows 9x versions that did not display version information in the about dialog. Added the standard Ctrl+N menu accelerator key to start a new game. Memory optimizations that make for a smaller footprint. |
| 3.1.1 | Adds the game of Spider Solitaire, one the the most popular double pack games, to the mix. |
| 3.1.0 |
This version introduces automatic card image sizing. As you change the window size the card images change size automatically to fit the window. This offers you much more flexibility when placing Quick Solitaire on your screen. |

|---|---|
| 3.0.2 | Cosmetic update that fixes image animation while dragging cards around the screen. Previous versions displayed a small image 'glitch' at the card corners while being dragged over the tabletop. This update fixes that bug so that the cards now maintain their smooth rounded corners while dragging enhancing the look and feel of the experience. |
| 3.0.1 | This is a minor update that adds the 'golf-clap' sound when you win a game. This sound file was accidentally missed in the conversion from 16-bit to 32-bit. |
| 3.0.0 |
This is the first true 32-bit version of Quick Solitaire for Windows.
Previous versions (2.x) were written for 16-bit platforms like Windows 3.0 and 3.1
but would run on 32-bit platforms like Win95, XP, etc.
Includes five (5) games (six variations all-together):
Windows Solitaire
Klondike, often known purely by the name of Solitaire, is probably the best-known solo card game and one of the hardest to win when played by the rules. Probably the second most popular game of solitaire due to its interesting layout and simple rules. Golf (aka "One Foundation") What seems like a simple game of sequence building to a single foundation becomes more challenging when you must decide between two cards. Choose wisely. A member of the family of Solitaire games that reveal all the cards in the layout. This release includes all the features of the previous versions in a 32-bit environment. The program starts-up faster, runs faster and is generally more responsive and attractive since it now uses the new Windows XP look-and-feel. |
| Version | Features/Changes | 2.1.3 |
Fixes a bug that would make the application window invisible on restart if you closed the program while it was minimized. If you encountered this condition in any previous version you will need to delete the QCKCRB(.INI) file under your Windows directory and restart the program. |
|---|---|
| 2.1.2 |
Minor update. Miscellaneous cosmetic changes. |
| 2.1.1 | Added double-click activation and drag-n-drop to Golf game. Fixed screen background flickering when window is resized. Miscellaneous cosmetic adjustments and memory optimizations. |
| 2.1.0 |
This version adds two (2) new games to the lineup: Golf and Gaps. |
| Version | Features/Changes |
|---|---|
| 2.0.1 | Automatically saves and restores the size and position of the main window. Adds a controlled delay to pace the animation on faster machines. |
| 2.0.0 |
This first release of Quick Solitaire includes the standard Solitaire game that plays like the Windows version we are all familiar with as well as Klondike and Pyramid Displays your score as you play. Uses a simple scoring system that counts the number of cards that have been built to the foundations against a final score. Easy to use drag-n-drop interface allows you to grab a card or cards, drag them around the tabletop (the screen) and drop them on top of other cards. Change the tabletop background using a simple color selection dialog. Turn the card sound effects (shuffling, dealing) On or Off. Familiar, vibrant card images in varying sizes that look like the real thing. |
